AKG Acoustics have launched the new C5 and D5 vocal microphones at the show, establishing what they say are new performance standards for live performance microphones. They tell us that the C5/D5 Series features an attractive and robust new industrial design with the highest quality and durability standards, along with excellent sound and unmatched feedback resistance for professional musicians.
Based on extensive market research and performance testing conducted in 2006, AKG has incorporated superior transducer technology with maximum isolation of handling noise to deliver pristine reproduction of vocals in every venue from small clubs to large concert stages. The C5 features a 24-carat gold-sputtered housing that protects the condenser capsule against moisture and humidity plus a removable Presence Boost adapter for increased intelligibility.
The D5 dynamic includes the new Laminate VarimotionT diaphragm technology to deliver smooth frequency response and the highest gain-before-feedback. The D5 is also available in a switched model, the D5 S, which features an On/Off switch on the body.
All models include value-added components such as gold-plated XLR output connectors for loss-free signals, a vinyl carrying bag and stand adapter.
