Down in the basement on the Analog Haven booth seemed and appropriate place for the Schippmann Ebbe und Flut (ebb and flow?) filter. This remarkable semi-modular, discrete super analog processor is capable of some quite unique processing. From the gnarly compressor on the input to the envelopes and dual, multi-mode filters, it is quite the sound shaper.
We spoke to it’s creator Carsten Schippmann who gave us an enthusiastic tour of his pride and joy.
