In the second from the Novation stand at the recent Music Live show in Birmingham UK, we take a look at the Novation SL Compact MIDI controller. Available as 25 and 49 key versions, the SL Compact gives you a plenty of MIDI control plus a 144 character LCD display for visual feedback and labeling of parameters using the Novation Automap Universal system. This makes MIDI mapping a breeze and gets you rocking in no time. The keys are tactile semi-weighted with after-touch, plus you get a set of eight trigger pads for beats or clip triggering.
Available now, the SL Compact 25 retails at £219 / $299.95 and the SL Compact 49 £259/ $399
