Native Instruments have announced their
Koresound Packs which they say are an affordable, ultra-convenient way to instantly further expand the sonic scope of the newly available
Kore 2. They tell us that each pack contains a wealth of sounds that fully utilize the built-in audio engines and that every preset was meticulously programmed for use with Kore 2, sporting the following special features:
- All sounds are based on one or a combination of the audio engines included in Kore 2, meaning you don’t need to own the full product (i.e. Massive or Reaktor) to access its characteristic sounds.
- All sounds are categorized for the KoreSound browser - making them immediately accessible and instantly usable.
- The important sound parameters of all sounds are assigned to the hardware controller knobs and buttons for immediate, intuitive tweaking.
- Every sound provides up to eight variations which can be morphed using the dedicated Kore morph pad or Kore controller, creating mind-blowing sounds and transitions.
Four packs are available at present - here's the NI descriptions:
- Best of Reaktor Vol. 1 features 200 legendary Reaktor sounds with up to 8 variations per sound, and vastly simplified control via Kore 2.
- Best of Massive features 200 of the greatest Massive synth sounds, perfectly primed for Kore 2, and featuring up to 8 variations per sound.
- '57 Drawerbar Organ features the legendary 1957 Hammond C3 drawbar organ instrument, meticulously sampled and offering the complete range of drawbars.
- Synthetic Drums Reloaded features 10 incredible Synthetic Drum kits, with 8 distinct variations per kit.
NI say that the series will be regularly updated with new collections covering a broad range of sounds, styles and themes.
