So, Live 7 has to be one of the most eagerly anticipated new releases from Ableton, well - since Live 6 anyhow. After the excitement around the Beta program, it’s now available in all it’s full glory. This release adds some pretty major new features, while retaining the essential Live-ness of the program. In this up-close and personal demo we get to look at Beat Slicing, Drum Racks, a new 64-bit audio engine, video export and editing, time signature changes and more. Huston Singletary, the US chief product specialist for Ableton who we first saw at AES in NYC earlier in the year, takes some time out from a hectic schedule for an informal chat and poke around under the hood of Live 7
