The Berlin based Manikin Electronics, were also at the Analogue Haven booth at NAMM showing their rather beautiful Memotron – a digital Mellotron keyboard, modeled on the original 37 key but without all the extra weight. All the tapes and other temperamental guts having been replaced by a much more tour friendly digital playback system. New for the show, was the new Vintage Collection 2 sound set, lovingly collected by Tron expert Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock, which consists of over one hundred tape frames. He carefully transferred them note by note with their original duration directly from 43 different and well looked-after Trons. No vintage electronics were harmed in the collection of these samples... Check em out.
