IK Multimedia has announced that
AmpliTube X-
Gear is now shipping with their
StompIO (see our show video) advanced US USB foot controller and audio interface
for guitarists and bassists.
AmpliTube X-Gear is a software shell-host that
lets users mix and match models from all “Powered by AmpliTube� products in a single
interface, and provides seamless control over every parameter directly from StompIO, with
no need for a computer’s mouse, keyboard or screen. IK say that X-Gear is the first completely
expandable and customizable guitar amp and stompbox modeling software
system, available as a RTAS/AU/ U/VST plug-in and standalone version for MAC/PC.
When loaded with the complete range of “Powered by AmpliTube� products, X-Gear gives
instant access to over 150 modeled stompboxes, amps,
cabinets, microphones and rack FX, for guitar and bass tone creation.
X-Gear seamlessly integrates with the StompIO foot controller/audio interface
for complete control of the entire rig. Every parameter of every
model in X-Gear is immediately available for control, through the 10 on board switches, 6
rotary encoders and 6 external expression pedals/switches, with preset numbers, values
and labels immediately displayed on the StompIO’s 2 large displays and no need for
tedious configurations.
