Korg DS-10 puts an MS-10 style synth into a Nintendo DS 14/03/08

This one is so new that Korg have not officially announced it yet but the DS-10 is music-creation software for the Nintendo DS that puts the sort of patching seen in the vintage MS-10 synthesizer onto the DS's dual-screen touch panel. You get two analog synth simulators and drum module plus a 6-track/16-step sequencer. Several units can be connected and played together through a wireless link.

Korg does it again! Wow it will interface wirelessly with upto 8 other units..as official Korg page says,patches & sequences can be exchanged wirelessly and even better one playing on his can chain the other units as slaves to form a single massive synth! Even with just one other unit so slaved to your master you then get a 4 vco synth and 2 seperate sequencers going at once! Incredible bang for the buck considering how little Nintendo DS's can be had for.

I think they should rather solve the issues in the KLC-Wavestation. You are not able to organise selfcreated patches yet. You end up with a shi*load of corrupted Banksets but are not able to create a bank of own sounds. Lots of halfdone things are not good for a companies reputation ...

can't wait to get this and use it along with some of the new gba software that has been released to make "chiptune" music... just wish it had some way of implementing midi! and audio input! wait the ds has a built in mic! hmmmm.....
