MESSE08: Free DAW With Behringer Mixers

Behringer announced at the show that they are now shipping XT Software’s energyXT2 Compact Behringer Edition (energyXTC) Digital Audio Workstation with its USB-equipped XENYX mixers. Models include the 2442FX, 2222FX, 1832FX, 1622FX and 1222FX mixers.
Behringer say that EnergyXTC allows users to record instruments and vocals directly to a computer, cut, copy and paste tracks, and then mix them down with stunningly professional results.
They tell us that the program is unique among digital audio workstations in that it loads in under two seconds and is not locked to a single computer. EnergyXTC is tightly coded (under 5 MB), runs on all operating systems and can be transferred between computers via any mobile media, including flash drives. A complete DAW solution, energyXTC also provides simple drag-‘n-drop manipulation of MIDI and audio sequences.
Current XENYX mixer owners are free to download the energyXTC software upon validation of ownership/purchase.
