Vienna Symphonic Library has announced new upgrade paths, free extended libraries and price increases due to the falling dollar.
Here’s the statements that they have released...
Upgrade Paths from our Sample Libraries to Vienna Instruments Collections to Expire on July 15, 2008
This coming summer, we will replace our longtime VIP upgrade paths with a new program. Through July 15, 2008, users of registered First Edition, Pro Edition and Horizon Series sample libraries may still enjoy discounts when upgrading to the Full Libraries (Standard and Extended Libraries) of Vienna Instruments Collections.
After July 15, 2008, new upgrade discounts will be introduced. There will be special upgrade pricing from the Vienna Special Editions towards new Single Instrument Downloads and the big Vienna Instruments DVD Collections. As of July 15, 2008, upgrade discounts from Vienna Symphonic Library sample libraries (First Edition, Pro Edition, Horizon Series) to Vienna Instruments Collections will no longer exist.
Free Extended Libraries April 15 – July 15
We're also giving away free Vienna Instruments Extended Libraries! If you order and register Vienna Instruments DVD Collections (Standard Libraries) as shown below between April 15 and July 15, 2008, you're entitled to receive up to four free Extended Libraries.
New Upgrade Paths starting July 15, 2008
As of July 15, 2008, you will be able to enjoy upgrade discounts from all Vienna Special Edition and Special Edition PLUS DVD or Download Collections towards the new Single Instrument Downloads as well as towards the “large Vienna Instruments DVD Collections.
US-$ Price Increase Effective May 15, 2008
As the dollar continues its gradual fall against the Euro, it has become necessary to raise U.S. dollar prices to customers in North America by approximately 10%. The new prices will take effect on May 15, 2008.
The price increase represents an effort to restore equilibrium to international pricing for our products, to avoid pricing conflicts that are potentially problematic for our worldwide team of distributors and dealers.
Customers in North America might want to consider taking advantage of the upgrade offers and free Extended Libraries before mid-May 2008.
