Using their patented algorithms and quite unusual looking mic probe, the Trinnov Optimizer system makes it possible to optimize multi-channel audio systems in tricky acoustic environments. If you check the press and testimonials on their site, you’ll see how studio owners and audiophiles alike have praised the Optimizers ability to create a better and more accurate listening experience. Once the room analysis has been performed, the system works real-time, inline with the monitoring system to correct any inaccuracies that the speaker/room combination introduces to the mix.

Now this might all sound a little high brow and out of the reach of your average consumer, but imagine if this technology gets built into a home surround system. You wouldn’t have to put the speakers in the right sockets, in the right place, or even with the right polarity – the system could just auto-heal itself and get the best surround sound setup for your particular space.

Something that might actually make the home theater/ surround hifi market actually work in the mainstream. Something to think about.

Guru, it's tricky demoing something like this - we've been here before - can you imagine hearing any discernabl;e difference in a noisy AES show floor environment then being compressed to flash audio?

Yeah, I see what you mean. I think we were presented with a similar problem at NAMM with the IK thingy. Good plan, we'll try that next time - seems bleedin obvious
