Digidesign have been working for several months to make all Pro Tools versions compatible with Mac OS X Leopard and, with the recent release of Mac OS X 10.5.3, have now announced the immediate availability of a pre-release version of Pro Tools software that provides expanded Mac OS X 10.5.3 Leopard compatibility for many Pro Tools users. Pro Tools 7.4.2pr software is provided as a convenience for Mac-based Pro Tools 7.4 users who may wish to begin their transition to Leopard before a fully tested and qualified version of Pro Tools becomes available.
Pro Tools 7.4.2pr software is available as a download only, and requires Mac OS X 10.5.3. It is not compatible with earlier versions of Leopard.
Digidesign say that Pro Tools 7.4.2pr software is pre-release software, and is not a fully tested or supported by Digidesign. Digidesign recommends backing up your system and work files before using this software. Plug-in compatibility with Pro Tools 7.4.2pr software and Leopard has not been tested.
