Several people urged us to see this product, so we did. The new JamVOX software/hardware combination from VOX, combines a software guitar amp and effects rack simulation in stand-alone form (sorry no plug-ins this time) with a hardware USB audio and amp and speaker. The idea being that you just need one of these to make some noise - and it’s true you certainly can do just that, and indeed record your playing into various formats - so you could import them into a DAW if needs be. But there’s more to the JamVOX software than just effects, it also has complex audio filtering and cancellation algorithms allowing you to notch out or solo elements within a mix. The JamVOX software, can just access your existing iTunes or MP3 library whilst offering timestretch playback too – so you can zoom in on the part you want to learn, slow it down, then flip it into extract so you can play your own version over the mix but minus the part you have just learnt.

Now these kind of systems are often well marketed and poor on delivering the goods, but this one does seem to be quite effective on certain tracks – check the video out.
