Virsyn have announced Prism - The Pitch Designer plug-in.
With multi-band filters you can independently change the audio level in each band. Prism does the same thing for pitch – Virsyn tell us that it can shift the pitch in each band up or down ranging from a few cent to 6 octaves in realtime.
Applications that Virsyn see Prism being useful for include drum loops which are otherwise perfect, but the bass drum is a bit too high or too low to fit in your mix. Likewise, the snare could be pitched up or down without changing anything else.
