As reported in ‘rumour’ form on Sonic earlier in the year, David Byrne will be embarking on a massive worldwide tour called The Songs Of David Byrne & Brian Eno kicking off in the States and Canada in mid September.
OK, now here’s the bad news. It’s a solo tour with no Brian Eno. (Bummer!).
Yep, Eno won’t be appearing as Byrne runs through a set based on their three Talking Heads albums and My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts.
The tour continues in ‘Australasia’ early 2009 and reaches Europe in March.
The duo have recently finished a project together called Everything That Happens Will Happen Today and you can preview the free track, Strange Overtones above.

“Brian Eno and I recently finished our first collaboration in about 30 years.� Said Byrne, “For the most part, Brian did the music and I wrote some tunes, words and sang. It's familiar but completely new as well. We're pretty excited.�

The North American leg of Byrne's journey to kick off September 16 in Pennsylvania. Full tour dates are as follows:
