Mlan On The Mac News

About 18 months ago we ran a story on the petition that Mlan users on the Mac published to save Mlan on the Mac.
The petition organizers have now been in touch to tell us that they rae happy to confirm that Yamaha delivered version 1.1.4 of the Mlan driver on the Mac on September 2nd 2008. This new driver follows the release of version 1.1.2 at the end of the summer of 2007.
With these updates Yamaha have resolved most of the outstanding issues that remained in the petition, with the exception of one issue which is the ability to use another source for Worldclock than the computer. Yamaha have committed to resolving this last issue by December 2008. Mlan users on the Mac are confident that this will happen and are happy to report that Mlan on the Mac is now in accordance with the general Mlan specs as defined by Yamaha.
The petition organizers wanted to thank Yamaha for listening to its users and say that with this new driver that also allows the integration of the Yamaha N series mixer with other Mlan series hardware, Mlan is one of the most efficient solutions for audio networking available for semi professional and professional studios.
