Alan Parsons is set to continue SAE’s tradition for unmissable guest lectures with a production masterclass that isn’t just for the students. Here’s all the details directly from the SAE press release…
It’s well known that SAE London provide their students with the best education in the fields of audio and recording, but they also book a wide spectrum of leading industry figures for guest lectures that give the students invaluable insights into the careers they are training for.
And November the 6th sees this tradition continue, as producer Alan Parsons will be giving three Production Masterclasses throughout the day – at 11am, 2pm and 5pm. The three sessions will take place in the new 76-seater theatre at the new Kingsland Road campus.
Alan Parsons began his career at Abbey Road Studios, and has spent a lifetime recording such heavyweights as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Hollies, Al Stewart, Paul McCartney and The Alan Parsons Project. Alan will be talking about his work – past and present – paying particular attention to working techniques, using audio examples to illustrate his production methods. Each session will also include a Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to quiz Alan about his work, the artists he’s worked with, and the techniques involved.
As well as seat allocations for SAE students and alumni, there will also be a limited number of places available for the public for each of the three sessions. Each place costs £50, and can be booked by heading to:
