Hey! Look Who Won The Propellerheads Bassline Compo

And the winner is...      19/12/08
The Propellerheads 2008 Bassline Battle inspired an interesting chat on our weekly podcast when it was first announced in October. The bassline had to be no more than 8-bars, and must use either the free demo version of the Reason Electric Bass Refill pack or the pack itself. And the winner is.... Adam Fielding with Mad Bad, Uber Funk. Adam is studying popular music production at Huddersfiled in the UK and has been active on the Props own forums for quite some time. The lucky Adam staggers away with a bunch of goodies from Focusrite, Novation and KRK - a Saffire Pro 40, Novation ReMote 25SL Compact, and a pair of KRK Rockit G2 active monitors – nice. BTW, it's worth checking out all the runners up too – it shows off the Electric Bass Refill quite nicely, which I guess was the point.

Is it just me or are all the winning entries cheesy as hell?

Yet another example of propellerheads not understanding their user base.

I dunno, considering they had to feature real bass, I thought they were okay

Why cheesy ? From what I hear Ads baseline sounds pretty redhotchilipepper like and good. I`m surely no propheadfanboy but the bass refill can be pretty accurate in the hands of some pro...and Ad Fielding is definately s.o. most recommendable among the phs userbase and the regulars of their forum. So pls go check: http://www.adamfielding.com/
