Chris Stone demonstrates the impressive DVZ 2.0 String Library from Audio Impressions. Created to Chris's own specifications, the DVZ Strings are different to most sampled libraries in the fact that they follow the correct string Divizi rules, eg: A four player sampled section plays one note in unison, two notes with two players on each, four notes with one player each – you get the picture? This makes the overall effect much more realistic as it mimics the actual string section. Theres also an impressive spatial editor for individual placement of the string players (violins, viloas, cellos and basses) with presets for Hollywood style (violins on left) or a European recording setup (violins on the right), or just create a custom seating arrangment for the entire string orchestra – it's pretty cool. Chris is an excellent player and orchestrator, so understands all the nuances of the string section and treats us to another great demo outlining the new features. The DVZ Strings 2.0 Library is available at $2399
