It seems a week doesn't go by withouth the arrival of some multi-gigabyte sampled piano to fill up your hard drive with – which is nice. But some of us with tiny hard drives – there's no shame iin it you know, might need something which is more portable. Hey presto! Here's the Acoustica Pianissimo – its only $79 and its only 256MB. How do they do this? Well its a magical mix of modeling and samples all mixed up inside the instrument itself.
The bad news? It's only PC VST at present, although Mac users will be catered for in the future.

We've been using this awesome plug for months now and tell you guys its worth more than its value. This is our main piano sound from studio to live.
...we're waiting for the MAC version... hehe

Perfect - it's indistinguishable from a giant multi-sample library.
Let's call it a day now for piano vsts and concentrate on using physical modeling to create something that nobody would ever sample or that doesn't physically exist or something.
Oh, and who really REALLY uses the damper pedal on a piano? Cowards that's who 05-Apr-09 11:28 AM Post a comment
