Cakewalk's UK distributor, Edirol Europe, has just announced a new pricing structure for academic versions of Cakewalk software.
Education customers can now purchase any number of Cakewalk software licences, using a tiered discount system, which makes planning, budgeting and purchasing easier for schools and colleges. Discounts start with the purchase of two or more licences, with maximum discounts available for thirty or more licences.
Cakewalk's flagship series is the SONAR family of Digital Audio Workstation products, which are suitable for use with Key Stage 3 students and above. Other products include the award-winning Rapture software synthesizer and Dimension Pro software sampler.
"Because of the increasing interest in SONAR from schools and colleges, it makes sense to have a uniform pricing structure across the range of programs" explains Edirol Europe's Managing Director Massimo Barbini. "We hope this new system will help education establishments in their purchase of multiple licences by offering more flexibility and competitive pricing".
Teachers and students can also purchase single copies of SONAR and other Cakewalk software at academic discounts. Academic licences of Cakewalk software are available through selected music education dealers.
