I think maybe we're still a way off the truly iPhone only band, not sure if this is latency issues or just plain bad playing.

the second attempt is actually not bad.

i DO know there's a tb303 and tr808/909 "rebirth" style app with abelton live style graphics available for the iphone right now, its about £6 :-

It's definitely the latency or at least some kind of timing problem due to the touch screen interfaces. Musically there's nothing wrong from what I hear but especially the drums and other sounds that should be timed really tight suffer from this.
