So, as I said - I don't go to that many industry parties, and just to prove it, the new Moog distributor in the UK - Source Distribution held a luncheon at the rather swanky Ivy restaurant in London this Monday - which I wasn't at. But we've been told that at said dinner, there was a presentation from Moog CEO Mike Adams and a few friends showcasing the Moog Guitar and a few other Moog goodies, during which it was mentioned that not only was the Minimoog given the number one position in our Top Twenty Synths series, but the show was also released on the late great Bob Moog's birthday.
Show producer Simon Power says "the series was timed so that the last episode would be a fitting tribute to Bob by being posted on the same date as his birth."
So it was kind of poetic. And of course a good reason to take another look at the episode or whole series, if you haven't had the opportunity. Originally released on May 23rd 2007 - lordy was it that long ago?!
