BBC Producer and SADiE expert, Pete Nash |
This tour will focus on the practical aspects of programme making for broadcast and location recording techniques. Prism Sound and SADiE staff will present the seminars, assisted by leading practitioners in the industry including BBC producer and SADiE expert Pete Nash; freelance BBC SADiE editor Peregrine Andrews; renowned freelance TV & film location recordist Simon Bishop and classical music location recording expert Tony Faulkner. Here's what Prism Sound have to say about the seminars...
The Broadcast seminars will examine why SADiE is the craft editor of choice with the BBC, and how it integrates with their radio automation system VCS for Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and the World Service. Attendees will see firsthand SADiE's power tools for radio feature, drama and drama-documentary production, as well as radio package making and what integration with the playout server means.
These seminars will also give behind-the-scenes information on how high-level productions and Sony award winning programmes have been made using SADiE, along with a host of tips, processes and methods for making top productions.
The Location Recording Seminars will look at how the SADiE LRX2 is establishing itself as a tool of choice when it comes to capturing multi-channel digital audio on location. Used for recent programmes such as Wired for Sound, The Restaurant and The Apprentice, to name just a few, its portability and user interface make easy work of complex jobs. Attendees will learn practical tips of the trade when it comes to capturing audio on location.
At all seminars, there will be plenty of opportunity to talk with our presenters about careers and the opportunities SADiE knowledge can bring with the new BBC and independent radio production sector.
Places on these events are free and will be offered on a first come first served basis. To ensure your place, please visit the SADiE website at http://www.sadie.com/SADiETour09 and register your interest.
