If you're on the road playing guitar professionally, you probably have a roadie change your strings every day, but for most guitarists, cleaning strings is a bit of a chore.
It's one of those things you know you should do to try to keep the tone of the strings as long as possible... but let's face it - it's not a task to be relished.
You can try to squeeze a bit of cloth behind the strings, but it's fiddly, and you often seem to end up with little fluffy bits wrapped round the strings.
Enter 'The Swipe' which is basically a pice of card covered with a micro-fibre cleaning cloth - the clever bit is the gentle bend at the business end which allows you to easily slip it under each string and give it a good clean.
Def. one of those 'why didn't I think of that' inventions ;-]
Cheaper than a set of new strings, and it should make one last a bit longer. You'll no doubt be seeing them pop up in your local music store, or check 'em out here:-
