xoxos have released their Aerophone VSTi which they tell us models lip valve instruments with cylindrical bores such as trumpets and trombones. The lip valve is modelled with an oversampled 3rd order mass-spring to emulate expressive acoustic performance.

xoxos says that the elementary acoustic circuit is capable of producing impressive emulations but that you should be aware that to appreciably render a human performance with this circuit requires a volume of knowledge and application.
