Moog Taurus 3 Pedals Progress

Lets see how things are coming along 15-Jul-09

Moog announced earlier in the year that they were working on a remake of the classic Taurus Bass Pedals, with all original analog circuitry but with the advantage of it being, well modern and less needy of servicing to keep em going

In this video engineer Cyril Lance, who I'm sure I remember from a Moog Guitar video sometime back - they are so multi-talented these Moog employess, gives us some sounds and a look "from the batt cave" as he puts it.

.

No release date or exact pricing has been set yet.

They should spawn this into a Rogue II, 32-note keyboard version that is cheaper than the little phatty.

But what's up with that price? It's more expensive than but seems less featurepacked than the little phatty.

Wow... Brilliant sound! Fun to see a behind the scenes, wish more companies would do a making of documentary for their synths. Btw., Nick, the moogmusic link is broken. It points to moogmusi.

There's a big difference between the technology in the Taurus 3's than the Rogue. T3's are based on the original Taurus 1's, where the Rogue was the inspiration for the Taurus 2's, which were unanimously felt to be inferior to the original.

Having said that, I'm all for Moog making products that make their instruments available for more people.
