SONIC TALK 138 - LIVE.
Surprisingly a bumper week in the chatroom this week - considering its Summer and all that, so thanks to all of you who came along and took part - see you next time at: Sonicstate.com/live at 4pm, Weds UK time.

With me this week are PJ Tracy - Emmy winning composer, Rich Hilton - studio professional with a sideline in designing Caribbean dream studios and Mark Tinley sound artist and motorcycle enthusiast.

We kick off with the crowd-sourced video from Sour which brings up the question - do you have to be a multimedia artists these days to make it? Then the latest iPhone related PR coup with The 88 recording their latest single Love Is The Thing purely on the Four Track app on the iPhone - probably. We then move on to Indabamusic.com and their java based recording application that takes your project into the cloud. PSP and audioMIDI.com offer PSP Nitro for a mere $10 - as Rich says - "just how bad can it suck for $10?". I preview some of the multitrack stems from the Bowie Space Oddity 40year anniversary release on iTunes, and we finish up with the United Breaks Guitars story.

This week, Nick sticks with the Røde Procaster, a dynamic mic with more than a nod to the looks of the classic ElectroVoice RE20, - we're waiting for some more mice to try out, hopefully next week,. Thanks to SourceDistribution.co.uk for lending us this to check out.
