AudioCookBook.com's One Sound Every Day is fascinating Web project, if you're interested in synthesis and sound design.

One Sound Every Day is published by AudioCookBook's John Keston, a musician originally from the United Kingdon, but now based in the U.S.. Keston creates and posts a new sound every day.

Example topics of Keston's recent posts include:

  • Time Correction Mangled Audio With Reverb and Delay;
  • Rain on the Tent;
  • Robotic Guided Vehicle Beeps; and a personal favorite,
  • Throwing Cement Chunks into an Empty Dumpster

The sounds range from "found sound" to highly process and manipulated sound. Keston provides background information with each sound.

You can also subscribe to the project as a podcast, so that you can get the audio files delivered to your portable media player automatically.
