PowerFX has announced the release of the Virtual Bouzouki, which they describe as a masterful, 24 bit, multisampled replication of the exotic, "greek guitar". The company tell us that the developer, Akki Plugs, has captured the nuances and characteristics of the instrument with a variety of features and settings that provide a stunning realism and clarity to the product.

  • Advanced Script Programming
  • Polyphonic playing
  • 5 Velocity layers of plectrum playing up
  • 5 Velocity lof plectrum playing down
  • Sample release
  • Hand position control via modulation wheel
  • 12 Key switches
  • Reverb, compressor, delay, EQ FX
The Virtual Bouzouki includes the Kontakt 2 Player and works as a standalone application, as well as, a VST, Audio Units, RTAS and DXi plug-in.
