This is a preview of Modo - a new app for the monome that's basically a MIDI CC-sequencer.

The sequencer is designed to mimic LFO behaviour, with the ability for each to modulate each other. Or as the designers put it - "It let you create fancy animation curves, you wouldn't want to draw these by hand."

Modo is designed for preproduction of sounds and animating parameters in Live or any Max patch. It could also run alongsinde with your other sequencing applications like mlr, molar, pages, polygome, tintinnabulome, etc.

Here a few main characteristics:

  • AM- modulation of Midi CC data
  • Drawing LFO shapes on monome
  • Nice cryptic interface
  • Some new fun approaches on UI

We're not sure if "nice cryptic interface" is a feature - but at least they deliver.

This is a pre-release video.
