J.S. Bach's Crab Canon On A Möbius Strip
Theme Folds Back Upon Itself 11/09/09
This video translates J.S. Bach's "crab canon" onto a Mobius strip, highlighting the underlying logic of the piece in a unique visual way.
Two parts play the theme, one forward and one in retrograde motion, demonstrating how the melody can fold back on itself.

Very well visualized. The Moebius strip is an amazing thing anyway, having no inside nor an outside. For a really amazing experiment try this: make a Moebius strip and then cut the material lengthwise. You will end up with a continuous loop twice the size of the original Moebius strip. Cut that one again lengthwise and you'll end up with two interlocking loops...
