Peavey's 6505 and Classic amps featured by Richard Hawley on new album 'Truelove's Gutter' 24-Sep-09
Peavey Amps Showcased

Here's the press release from Peavey...

The 6505 has long been renowned for providing the cream of rock and metal with its distortion and a distinctive 6L6 sound but in 1997 when the Long Pigs played Glastonbury, Richard Hawley chose its predecessor the 5150 purely for its honest no frills clean sound. Today amongst Richard's vast collection of amplifiers he still uses a 6505 and has recently taken delivery of a Peavey Rockingham B6 guitar and a Classic 30.

Regarded and respected for his tone as well as his playing Richard Hawley isn't a man who chooses his equipment without careful consideration. From playing guitar with All Saints on their cover of Under The Bridge, working with Nancy Sinatra, through to his own solo recordings the right tonal palette is essential. So it is no surprise Richard has added Peavey to his arsenal describing the Classic as "a great amp with loads of b$%#*ks but with proper tone too."

Richard's new solo album 'Truelove's Gutter' showcases not only his playing at its best, but demonstrates the flexibility of the 6505 and the Classic 30, and also features Producer / Bass player Colin Elliot using the AH500-12 for bass guitar and upright bass. Colin has been so impressed with his Trace Elliot rig that he is about to use it on the forthcoming tour in support of 'Truelove's Gutter'.
