Cracking Novation Launchpad Video

Well it is the official promo      07/10/09

Nice demonstration of what can be acheived with the new Launchpad from Novation. Granted, this is a somewhat bionic performance, but us mortals can expect to enjoy some level of perforrmance and creativity with this new MIDI controller.

Expected to cost $199, coming real soon

Essentially a monome without the classy packaging and accelerometer for the ableton crowd, right? And they are touting it's specialized functionality with max for live, do we know if it will run some form of independent Monome patches?

Hey DBM,

I notice that Max For Live has a 16 step sequencer device but I'm not sure if/how it works with LaunchPad. Would be interesting to find out though!
