Scratching With A Theremin

Gaudi 11-Oct-09

This video, from the epic dance party Techno-Tribal, captures UK-based producer & DJ Gaudi ripping it up - using a theremin to create DJ-style "scratch" effects.

Gaudi uses a wide variety of electronic instruments in unique ways, and has remixed artists ranging from Bob Marley to Simple Minds.

What a great novelty toy. Worthy of Spencer's!

He is also quite the master of rhythm, wouldn't you say?

You guys are completely missing the point of what Gaudi's doing.

Instead of playing another horrible out-of-tune theremin solo, like most theremin players do, he's doing something that's actually original and musical.

Open mind FAIL.
