Nine Inch Nails Lets Fans Edit Their Latest Concert DVD

A Live Performance Of The Downward Spiral      14/10/09

This is a teaser for a rather amazing project, Nine Inch Nails' The Downward Spiral: Live concert DVD.

The upcoming DVD was filmed, recorded and edited by fans. Cheap digital video cameras and computer-based editing have made this possible.

It begs the question, though: Who's going to know what diehard fans want to see better than die hard fans?

The Downward Spiral: Live isn't available yet, but you can check out two previous releases at the ThisOneIsOnUs.org site.

And the 400GB of HD footage from their Lights In The Sky tour was officially made by "a mysterious, shadowy group of subversives".

The joys of music licensing.
