Casper Electronics has introduced a new DIY synth that specialize in complex drones, Drone Lab V2.

The video, above, shows the Drone Lab V2 prototype in action.

Here's what Casper Electronics has to say about the Drone Lab:

The Drone Lab is capable of generating rich, textured soundscapes, hypnotic drones and complex rhythmic sequences. It features a series of filter and distortions circuits as well as an audio input jack. This allows it to be used as an effects processor for external audio signals.

Pricing and Availability

The drone lab is available now and priced at:

  • $50 for the PCB only;
  • $200 for a full DIY kit; and
  • $350 for a fully assembled synth
