The Beat Kangz Turn The iPhone Into An Urban Beat Machine

The Beat Kangz, the new company behind the new Beat Thang music production workstation, have announced PlayaThang, a beat playback application for the iPhone.

Here's what they have to say about it:

PlayaThang offers simple playback of premixed beats created by The Beat Kangz. PlayaThang lets you mute, solo and change volume for each of the 8 stereo tracks that make up each beat. You can create your own arrangements of the beats on the fly, write or freestyle until you work it out.

Pricing and Availability

PlayaThang is available now in the iPhone App store for $2.99.

I can do far more with SunVox or Thumb. And these also have an identical App for PC/Mac that let me exchange my complete Sessions between both.

Missed the mark, sorry Thang.

iDrum is a better buy. Come on Beat Kangz, I thought you guys were trying to change the game? How about an App that's a mobile version of Virtual Thang? Call it the iThang. ;-)

those are different beasts though. This is a beat player of beats for peeps to rhyme over not a portable music station. I think it hits the mark it was aiming for ;-)
