Moog Intros Little Phatty Editor


Moog Music has announced the VST Little Phatty Editor, an application that provides full control and editing of Little Phatty presets and performance controls via MIDI from within your VST compatible host application.

The following actions are supported:

  • Full editing of all Little Phatty preset parameters via MIDI CC messages
  • Automation of all LP parameters in real time through the VST host application
  • Save/Load presets to and from the Little Phatty
  • Presets can be saved in VST Editor format

PC - Windows - VST 2.4

  • Steinberg Cubase SX 1-3, Nuendo 1-2
  • Mackie Tracktion 3
  • Imageline FL Studio (Fruity Loops) *see issues below
  • Energy XT
  • Cockos Reaper 3.11
  • Presonus Studio-One
  • Plogue Bidule
  • Tobybears’ MiniHost
  • Hermann Sieb’s VST Host

Mac - VST 2.4 (OSX)

why don't more hardware synth companies do this? VST editors are amazing. You can edit a patch and not have to override the synth's patch memory. You can also automate it like you never thought possible.

Is Moog kidding? We're up to Cubase 5 and this editor only works up to Cubase SX3??

If it's VST 2.4 then Cubase 5 should support it. They probably just didn't have the chance to test it with a more up to date system.

This is especially cool since I guess this means that you can also automate the VST controls and control nearly every parameter from your sequencer or or attached controller!

it's a shame that the VST editor has more wood than the actual synth. it would be awesome if the real thing looked that nice.
