Cartec have announced a hardware EQ unit based on the Pulteq EQP1A. Here's what they have to say about it...
Those lucky enough to own an original Pulteq equaliser know that the unique, flattering sound and depth it adds is something that can't be easily emulated. Our aim was to build a point-to-point, hand wired unit, without compromising on sound or adding any unnecessary bells and whistles. We reckon we've managed to match the pulteq's unmistakeable sound and style, while lowering the noise floor to the standards of modern recording, and easily providing matched pairs.
