The Kangz Thang Is Real

Nice promo video too      27/01/10

Rarely has a new piece of kit brought so much controversy and comment at the Beat Kangz Beat Thang. Since we first saw it a last years NAMM, it's been subject to much speculation and hype  - will it ever be released?

We know that the Kangz were around at this years show, though not it would seem to be exhibiting. Peter Kirn over at Create Digital Music (an excellent blog) got to spend some time with it, confirming that is is near completion.

I've been following them very closely as a long time mpc user, now I mainly use NI maschine (which has more ups than downs but there are some downs). I can say that this box looks very promising, there early bombastic advertising on the web caught alot of flack but then again it got people talking. now all i can say is I'm really interested in how integrated it will be with the virtual vsti version and how it acutally feels. (it looks cramped) here's to competition making the consumer better off!

It's nice to see a vendor implementing pitch bend onto a percussion unit. most don't and it's a shame. i love drum machines. if i could have 20 i would.
