Bootsy Collin's Funk University Coming Soon

If You Build It, They Will Funk 31-Mar-10
Bootsy Collin's Funk University Coming Soon

Funk bassist Bootsy Collins has announced Bootsy's Funk University, an online bass school for players around the planet to study under his direction.

As Funk University's Lead "Professor," Collins will provide lectures on funk, the bass, and his body of work with James Brown, George Clinton, Parliament Funkadelic, and solo projects.

In addition, Collins has arranged an ensemble of players to provide a curriculum designed to promote and teach funk to intermediate and advanced players. The lectures, lessons, and exercises will be accessed through streaming video, with tablature downloads available.

Bootsy's bass school will also hold "office hours" where students are able to get their questions answered online. The entire staff will be reviewing and holding regular competitions throughout the year.

"The best day of my life was when I graduated from P.U.," states Collins. "The next best day of my life will be to see students graduate from F.U."

Here's a little taste of Bootsy's Basic Funk Formula to tide you over until Funk U opens its virtual doors:

Bootsy's Funk University begins its first semester on July 1, 2010 with enrollment based on a first come, first serve basis.

Hey folks. I was a registered student with Norwood Fisher and Cory Danziger in NABA. Which was Mr. Fishers own online bass school that was launched at the beginning of the the year. I paid for their full years semester and got three months in and it all stopped. Communication from Cory Danziger and Mr. Fisher stopped. ...I found out from another student a that NABA created by SceneFour, Cory Danziger, and Mr. Fisher was no more. I recieved no communication from any of the mentioned entities.

I suppose I'm the sucker, but I'm just letting anyone who plans to register with Cory Danziger and SceneFour in this "boosty collins funk university" to beware.

You may not be getting what you think your getting, and if it goes tits up in three months....you won't be getting any communication to let you know that you're a sucker and you're out what ever you paid.

Good luck.
