Korg Updates iElectribe Drum Machine For The Apple iPad


Korg has announced an update to iElectribe - its virtual analog beatbox for the Apple iPad.

New Features in iElectribe 1.1.0:

  • Audio Export
    • Export a rhythm pattern as a CD-quality audio file (.wav format).
    • Record real-time full length performances.
    • Transfer recordings to your computer via iTunes.
  • Additional refinements
    • Improved knob response.
    • Sonic improvements.

Pricing and Availability

Korg iElectribe is available for US $9.99 through June 30, 2010.

Cool. Now it can actually export wavs it might be some use.

Developers really need to open this platform up for use in software such as LIVE, LOGIC etc. via core audio. Synth apps should appear as AU plugins and be synced when the ipad is connected to a computer via usb - I would buy multiple ipads to perform with based on those features. They have far underestimated the potential here. - it can be done: http://lists.apple.com/archives/coreaudio-api/2010/Apr/msg00124.html
