Uilleann Pipes iPad App Sneak Peak

Uillean-B Features Per-Hole Pitch Bending      14/05/10

This is a sneak peak at the upcoming Apple iPad release of Uillean-B 1.2 - Michael Eskin's Uillean pipe app virtual instrument.

Uilleann-B is an authentic sounding Uilleann (Irish Bagpipes) pipes chanter and drones virtual instrument for the iPad.

The Uilleann pipes are a bellows driven set of bagpipes with a two octave range. They are most commonly used for playing traditional Irish dance music and slow airs.

This app emulates the three drones and chanter of a half set of Uilleann pipes pitched in B.

The chanter fingerings are essentially identical to the actual instrument. New in this version is per-hole pitch bending.
