Vesica Guitars announce that the VL Neck for Strat is now shipping 20-Jul-10
Vesica Guitars have been in touch to let us know that the VL Neck for Strat is now shipping. Here's what they have to say...
Available as a bolt-on replacement neck for the Fender Stratocaster, the patented VL Neck design challenges you to take your playing to the next level. With the VL Neck, the guitarist now has the additional capability of bending the strings away from the center of the neck while soloing or playing leads. This freedom of string movement allows for both traditional playing techniques and the creation of new licks, riffs and ultimately new music. The ability to bend the high strings in either direction is the logical evolution of guitar neck design and the ultimate way to expand the palette of the musical canvas in your hands.
What this capability means musically, for example, is that the inner strings can continue to produce sound while the outer strings are being bent. You can sustain a note on the B string while bending a note on the high E string. Another would be to bend the B string and high E string together but in deferent intervals, bending the E farther than the B. You can even play chords while bending the high strings, try that on any other guitar. These and many other possible combinations can be used to create everything from new singing melodies to screaming dissonant leads.
The beauty of the VL Neck design is that while maintaining the playability and familiarity of a traditional straight-neck guitar, the VL Neck opens new doors for your tonal and creative expresions. This re-thinking of the instrument will benefit guitarists at every level of musical accomplishment. Pricing and Availability:
