Shure have announced the SRH240m+ Headset with Remote + Microphone, which is the first headphone headset in the Company's line of professional quality audio accessories for smartphones and portable music players. The SRH240m+ combines the professional audio performance of Shure's SRH240 Headphones, with the added convenience of an inline microphone and controls that enable Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod users to get the most functionality out of their devices.
Matt Engstrom, Category Director for Listening and Monitoring Products at Shure, told us, "We've had great success with our professional headphones since they were first introduced last year, which is why we decided to introduce the first smartphone headset option for customers who prefer headphones. Most of the headsets in the market today are in-ear models. We're excited to be one of the only companies to offer smartphone users this over-the-ear option." Shure's SRH240m+ features a three-button remote control that enables users to adjust volume, control music and video playback, record voice memos, and answer or end calls without having to remove the headphones.
Additional features include:

  • 40mm Neodymium Drivers: Neodymium drivers reproduce a full bass with clear mids and highs
  • Convenient Three-Button Remote Control and Microphone: The integrated three-button remote control enables users to take advantage of all the functionality of their Apple device
  • Lightweight, Closed-back, Circumaural Design: Lets headphones rest comfortably over the ears and reduces background noise
  • Replaceable Ear Cup Pads: Ensures a long product life

Pricing and Availability:
Priced at $79.99 USD retail [$99.99 MSRP], Shure's SRH240m+ is now available to consumers and will carry a two-year limited warranty.
