This video fails because it features James Burton twice as a rhythm player. When I think of the Telecaster he comes to mind as the grand master.
putting flames on a tele or any guitar for that matter is like smearing shit on the walls of your house
Can't help but notice ''stratmasters'' written across the top
john 5 solo just sounded shit
I just got mine, 60 years aniversary´s edition .... and i fucking love it!!!
At first i love the Stratocaster, i love it so much but now i kinda hate it. Now i have a Fender Telecaster with Dimarzio and it is a beast! I love it, but not like the Stratocaster.
just recently got my first tele (a lovely squier cv 50's vb).it's fantastic :-)
They should have showed James Burton playing lead, and GE Smith doing the rhythm.
@hillbillygenius72 Ritchie Kotzen :)
@ TWRose- he's the millionaire shredder, not us. lol I like shred, grew very fond of EVH and Yngwie. Broke up with my ex and found my heart in blues recently. Teles are growing in popularity lately in terms of gaining more popularity than it's younger brother, the Strat with a wider audience. I've seen Sue Foley's pink sig Tele for sale by me for 10g at a local store last week. Make your own repro for less than $500. As stated in the video, "The most basic plank of wood with microphones on it"
Yep, Ole' Redd, Albert Lee, James Burton, Steve Cropper, Greg Koch, Jerry Donahue, and some other folk.........................., Redd & Burton takes the win on this one!! Cool DVD though, all the same!!
@TWTRose couldnt agree more
Great video, but much tooooooo short
Old Redd, with the magic sausage fingers.
I love Teles.
Sadly, I don't own one right now. But one day...
where's jim root with his tele?!
How Redd Volkaert makes those stubby sausages of his work that Tele magic is beyond me. Jerry Donohue makes those knuckle busting string bends look easy!
With a Telecaster, you really find out if playing guitar is for you and what you´re made of. It´s a "true" guitar. You can´t fake it.
3:15 ABOUT HOW IT SOUNDS ACOUSTICALLY. THE FEEL OF A TELE IS ROCK SOLID IMAGINE A ACOUSTIC LIKE THAT.AND TRY EXPLAINING THAT TO A CLERK WHO WANTS TO SELL YOU A GIBSON OR GRETSCH
Girls playing the guitar look like they try too hard.
The bassist at 5:07 !!! XD
I love the Tele... I love the twang... love the way it looks. Puts a big smile on my face. :)
@LfunkeyA In your opinion... I'm not saying you're wrong of something but if you ask me... I'm in love with tele's tone and everything.... I love both guitars of course i would be dumb if i didn't like them... RHCPeace
haha the bass player at 5:21 checkin' out G.E.'s playing
Can someone teach my how this to play what this guy plays at 1:27
ecco quello che fanno tutto il giorno quelli delle fender
I play jazz on my Tele alot
that shredding sounds fucking horrible
5:22 black guy in the corner thinkin, "shit, dumb bass, wish I had a telecaster..."
не только информацию,но и удовольствие получил от ролика (что со мной бывает редко;)
@alessonincrime Im sorry but it doesn't seems real to me.
@flatpikinguitar Oh, sorry, I only saw the first and second name!
@PBANDSNOW Brad, and keith maby, but Brent and Vince Gill? Sure about that.
@flatpikinguitar Playing really bad pop music in their mothers basement.
Lol, John 5 is the biggest poser ive ever seen.
Haha, look at the bass player at 5:20 ^^
1:10... one of the most beautiful tele's ever and in my opinion, the best player ever. one love keith.
5:21 that guys is like "damn he's good"
Danny Gatton, the Telemaster.
sue foley really says it best: "you can't fake it on a tele. you can either play or you can't." then backs it up with some smooth ass playing. awesome
@MrMb666 no need for sexism.
strats still own teles in every way. only advantage a tele might have is slightly better tuning stability, although getting proper intonation is pathetic. as long as you don't overuse the trem on a strat you won't have a problem there.
Esta guitarra, es taaan básica y tan paja, tan simple y capaz de hacer cosas tan profundas, tan sobria y minimalista pero suficiente para desgarrar sonidos del alma.....no necesitas más, es la TELECASTER!
