@lorenz661 Its just simple follow actions in Ableton. You set follow actions in the "launch" tab for each clip. Refer to your Ableton manual for further details.
Is there any tutorial on how the clips had been splitted on drums?
@realcoolking95 thats where the Nocturn comes in!
@Rlev420 We generally find that powered belkin USB 2.0 hubs work well.
I NEED HELP!!! WHAT USB HUB DO YOU USE!!!!! everyone i try will send power to my launchpad, putting it in vegas mode. but will not reognize it in live!! i need help.
what effect program are you using on that third launchpad?
thought he was chris martin real quick
@MrDeemsMusic definitely. pads are ok, but you really need physical knobs & faders. =)
@realcoolking95 That was exactly what I was thinking when I started watching this video. I was also thinking you could just build a monome MK 512 for roughly the same price (not counting the cost of the enclosure). Either way the functionality of using 6 launchpads is pretty minimal. You would have more control over your live set using a single APC40 or something of the like. There is only so much you can do with buttons assigned to midi. You need encoders and faders to get any real control.
...or you could buy 2 monome256's.
@writeract
scroll down.
follow actions work in groups, so you just leave a blank cell between loops and scroll through the project, which in a liver perforrmance setup would contain all the clips you need for each of the songs you plan on playing.
yeah, thats cool for one song, but what do i have to do when i want to mix that with another song? open a new project??
@xbuster17 oh ok thats what they are ye your feed back on them helps..thank you for your reply
@kgog1 those are KRK rockit i'm guessing 8'', they are nice, good, not very expensive studio monitors. they sound too much clubby for me, like on a disco?...yeah... idk, they can rock pretty hardly. good for rock and techno (and stuff like that)... IMO: fat bass ---> i don't like them. hope it helps
@emoboi86 he 's probably first making the track happen and only then slice it for the live purpose: way smarter.
Is there an easy way to split up a clip like that? I imagine it's not very intuitive to initially write a one bar beat across 8 clips.
@Bossessential He pressed the page down button on the right launchpad, and then hit "play scene" for scene 9 (which is empty)
@kgog1 Look like KRKs to me
what kind of SPEAKERS are those...I've seen a lot of people with those are they that good...anybody?.. thanks
How did you stop all the clips @3:02?
That guy is really talented!
if six Launchpads is not enough then build something decent yourself: youtube.com/watch?v=8WQU-Lrm3D8
why not 8 units ??? running 2 MAX step sequences would be killer with this set up i am sure two units can work if the other two are using home-brew like littlescale
great vid, but one question, arent you somehow limited to 128 midi messages overall? thanks
Given me loads of new idea's, only running on one Launchpad though! Thanks for the tutorial.
