Ash/Bloc Party Guitarist Suffers Lion Bite

A very unfortunate chain of events for Lissack   01-Oct-10

Russell Lissack, guitarist for Ash and Bloc Party, was injured earlier this month with a Lion bite. Lissack, famous for his bizarre and creative use of live effects pedals, was on tour with Ash in South Africa, when he and singer Tim Wheeler decided to visit a wild animal sanctuary. The guitarist was playing with a Lion cub when it bit him, drawing blood and raising fear of infection.

The band was driven to a local hospital where a tetanus booster was to be admitted. Unfortunately for Lissack, after his arrival in the hospital, it was sealed off after patients had died from an unidentified virus. Finally, when Lissack was released, the band was involved in a car accident on the way back to their hotel. Nobody was injured in the accident.
