Stage Piano Spotlight

Yamaha launch CP Stage Piano series movies and dedicated magazine      16/12/10
The CP series of stage pianos from Yamaha have been the backbone of many historic and iconic musical performances for over 30 years. On stages, in homes and in classrooms around the world, pianists rely on their faithful action, accurate sound reproduction and their portability. The recent introduction of the groundbreaking CP1 saw Yamaha raised the technological bar even further. With its unique Spectral Component Modeling engine and cutting-edge VCM digital effects, the worlds leading pianists and performers have experienced and appreciated its new level of expression and accuracy.
Recognising that the full CP story lies in its extra-ordinary heritage, Yamaha have now released a special CP series magazine covering the whole story from the legendary CP70 through to todays CP series.

Download it for free at the URL listed below.
To coincide with this celebratory magazine Yamaha have also unveiled a series of 8 highly informative movies with CP series developer Mr Kunimoto from K's Lab within Yamaha Japan - he is the mastermind behind many of the technologies deployed in the latest generation of CP series pianos. These interviews are a fascinating insight into the technological detail of the CP1 instrument.
